Location Description See above. Examine the surface of the road from the start of the hill out of Burton in the direction of Neston to the end of the row of houses (beyond the junction with Rake Lane).

Hazard Description Worn surface with holes and longitudinal crack on short, steep rise out of Burton Village. The road (a busy one used by buses and agricultural vehicles as well as private cars) narrows as the top of the rise is approached.

It is a cycle route and well used by cyclists.

Busy road makes it difficult to take measurements safely (see below).
