Location Description Descend Otley Road (from Dick Hudson's Pub, High Eldwick) down into East Morton. 100 metres before the bottom of the hill on the last, gradual right bend which is about 30 metres above the old mill on the left is where the road surface is broken
Road Name Otley Road, East Morton, Near Bingley, West Yorkshire
Hazard Type Unevenness due to rut or gully
Hazard Description After running water froze across the road last winter it left the surface in a terrible broken up state from the gutter to the centre. It is especially dangerous as it is on a 1 in 6 descent on a right bend where cyclists do at least 20 mph (the speed limit) but could easily be doing considerably more. Heavy braking is necessary at this point but is impossible due to the rough surface.
