Location Description The hazard is near the curb on the descent of the A3211, around 1/3 of the way down the descent. It is on the east bound side of the road.

Hazard Description There is a sunken manhole cover here on a fast moving stretch of road leading to a tunnel. Both cyclists and cars travel fast in this portion of the road as it is downhill. Cyclists consistently swerve right, into the traffic to avoid the sunken manhole cover which is particularly dangerous on this fast moving part of the road.
