Location Description Along the whole length of Sandy Lane in both directions. Large lorries use the road and the curb side of each lane is uneven, broken up and poorly patched. It's a nightmare for cyclists but it's a key road and hard to avoid.

Hazard Description Sandy Lane (either going up or down) is a danger for cyclists, the inside of the lanes are very uneven and broken and you need to cycle towards the middle of the road to avoid holes and cracks between areas of patching. Large lorries use this road and they get very impatient if you try to hold a safe line towards the middle of the road. The whole road needs resurfacing before a cyclist is hurt.
