Location Description The erosion of the path along entire length is very clear from Blayney Row to Heddon Haugh Farm. Path is well used by prams/cycles that path has developed 'tram lines' along it that are hazardous to slow moving cycles moving sideways to pass people

Hazard Description On Route 72 which is commonly known as the Wylam to Newburn waggonway the surface is now badly rutted with 'tramline ruts' running for almost it's entire length but is worse at the Newburn and Wylam ends. At the Wylam end the surface has broken up so much it has muddy puddles in it which are lethal when the mud is damp.
