Hazard Type | Debris on road surface |
Hazard Description | Continued, already reported dragging of mud onto road from what seems to be ongoing commercial construction works. Mud is building up on the road making it slippery and unpleasant for pedestrians and cyclists. Current build up on Biggar Road is now such that vehicles are leaving tracks in the mud on road. This has been previously reported a posing a skid risk to road users, and it has now got worse. The risk to motorcyclists is now particularly high. Heavy plant lorries have been now frequently entering and exiting site at this junction for over a month, and at no time has any effort to control the contamination of the main road been observed to have been made. This also must represent a significant annoyance to those living in and driving through Carnwath as the roads there are becoming increasingly filthy. |
