| Location Description | The whole of the southbound carriageway of Richmond Place, between Phoenix Place and Richmond Parade, is severely deteriorated. This occurs in the segment of road from the kerb toward the centre, for about 1.5 metres. |
| Road Name | Richmond Place |
| Hazard Type | Unevenness due to rut or gully |
| Hazard Description | Surface is deteriorated in most places to such a degree that it is difficult to cycle on. In particular the tarmaced surface has a ridge approx 3cm in height where tarmac was not laid up to the kerb. Various roadworks have left the road surface so uneven that there are lateral inconsistencies that cause your wheels to slip sideways into the kerb. The only safe place to cycle is approx 1.5 metres away from the kerb, which in itself is suicudal in rush hour. |
