Notes
Defects in a paved footway are:
1. A projection or sharp edge of 20mm or more in height
2. A crack or gap between slabs of 20mm or more in width
3. A rocking slab
For your information, broken paving slabs will not necessitate repair unless at least one of the above criteria is evident at the time of inspection.
Defects in a tarmac/concrete surface are:
1. Potholes greater than 20mm deep
2. A difference in level between adjacent walking surfaces of 20mm.
