Notes
Determining whether any individual defect should be treated as a category 1 will be a matter of on-site judgement but will also have regard for legal proceedings. In this context, for example, a pothole depth of 100mm in carriageways or 20mm in footways and cycleways is presently considered to require particularly careful consideration.
